Our Therapist

Jane Crane, MSPT
Manual Therapist
Jane is a physical therapist and owner of Spine Mountain Physical Therapy. With over 30 years of experience in manual physical therapy, she is honored to now serve the Pine Mountain community.
After earning her Master's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1993, she enjoyed a variety of career opportunities. She worked in a rehabilitation hospital treating patients with injuries resulting in stroke, spinal cord injury, head injury and chronic pain, as well as in hospital-based outpatient PT clinics in both Birmingham, AL and Columbus, GA.

Jane's passion has always been helping people overcome obstacles to become the person they were created to be, and to realize their unique talents, dreams, and goals. It was this passion that led her to complete a 7-month spinal mobilization fellowship in 2006. Since then, she has specialized in treating neck, back, and extremity pain with manual techniques to restore joint mobility. Jane teaches her clients new movement patterns to reduce re-injury and address issues of decreased strength or flexibility. Each session is designed according to the individual's specific needs.
In an effort to improve function and quality of life, Jane evaluates the whole patient, taking into account how one area affects another. As a result of this approach, she has been able to move patients into functional movement and exercise with confidence. Jane is so grateful to all of her patients for trusting her to walk with them on their journey.
Our Fitness Director
As the Fitness Director for Spine Mountain, Karen’s passion is to help and empower members of the community to move well and feel well.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Health & Exercise Science, she has over 20 years of experience in the health and wellness industry working with fitness studios and corporate wellness programs. Extensive studies in Exercise Physiology, Human Performance, Weight Control, and Nutrition have equipped her to work with a variety of populations in areas of health and wellness. Karen has also designed fitness programs for seniors and cancer survivors, understanding how to safely work with limitations while improving strength, stability, and endurance.
Karen is grateful to share the mission of Spine Mountain, bringing more opportunities to support the wellbeing of the Pine Mountain Community.

Meet the Founders of Spine Mountain
Larry & Jane Crane

Jane is originally from Greensboro, NC, and Larry is from Annapolis, MD. They met as undergraduates at UNC Chapel Hill and later pursued graduate studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where Jane earned a Master’s in Physical Therapy and Larry completed both an MBA and a Master’s in Health Services Administration.
They are college sweethearts who have been married for over 40 years. Jane’s passion as a physical therapist—and the life-changing impact she had on her patients—inspired Larry to pursue a career in health services administration. For nearly 25 years, he worked to support the delivery of primary and preventive care to help people stay healthy.
In 2021, the Cranes moved to Pine Mountain from Columbus, Georgia, fulfilling a long-held dream of living in the beautiful countryside they fell in love with when they first visited Callaway Gardens in the 1990s. They enjoy being outdoors, playing music, spending time with family, and taking walks with their dog, Hooch.
Motivated by the love of God that overflows in love for others, Larry and Jane quickly noticed that their new community lacked access to physical therapy and fitness facilities. To help fill that gap, they founded Spine Mountain Physical Therapy and Wellness Studio—a place dedicated to helping people move better, feel better, and live better.
At Spine Mountain, we strive to improve the quality of life in our community. Our friendly and caring team is here to provide personalized care to support you in your journey toward better health and well-being. If you’re ready to take the next step toward a healthier, happier life, we invite you to join us at Spine Mountain and embark on that journey together.
