Frequently Asked Questions

We strive to make sure that our clients feel informed and confident throughout their entire experience with us. Below are some answers to frequently asked questions, but please don't hesitate to contact us for additional information.

Do I need a referral or prescription to see a physical therapist?

In the state of Georgia, you can initially be seen by a licensed Physical Therapist without a physician prescription or referral. This is called “Direct Access” and it allows for a quicker evaluation and treatment of any pain or discomfort you are having, without waiting to be seen by your physician first.

After your initial evaluation with a physical therapist, you can be seen for up to 8 visits within a 21-day period without a physician prescription. If you have not met your goals at that time, your therapist can guide you to a specialist to receive further treatment and obtain a prescription for additional physical therapy if needed.

Our goal is to help you recover and get you back to doing the things you love. Book an appointment with us today so you can move better, feel better, and live better!

How long does a physical therapy session last?

Your physical therapy session will be one on one with a physical therapist and will last approximately 60 minutes. First time visits include evaluation and treatment and may last longer.

What should I wear to my appointment?

You should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement. Depending on your specific condition, your physical therapist may ask you to wear certain clothing or footwear.

How many visits will I need?

The number of visits you will need will depend on your specific condition and treatment plan. Your physical therapist will be able to give you a better idea of the number of visits needed after evaluating your condition.

Testimonials

I went to Jane because my back was tight and I was having trouble standing and moving without pain. A couple visits solved my back issue. I continue to stretch and follow the advice I was given. I haven't had any issues for five years now. I would recommend Jane; she is professional and truly concerned about your wellbeing.
